GOGAS IOANNIS

Giannis Gogas was admitted to the Department of Speech Therapy of Patra's University in September 1999. Alongside his four-year studies, he volunteered as a companion for people with severe disabilities in camps in Northern Greece. In the fourth year of his studies he completed his thesis on "Brain Treatments and their Impact on Speech", in collaboration with the Director of IKA. Patras Dr. Panagiotis Kotika. At the same time he did his internship at the Volos Mental Health Center, supervising children with speech problems, while at the same time volunteering his services at the 1st Special Volos School.
After graduating, he worked for four years in a private rehabilitation and recovery center, as well as as an individual providing home visits. At the same time, he volunteered as a research fellow on speech pathology at the Alzheimer's Disease Treatment Unit.

During her 9 years working she has undertaken speech therapy for children with:

• Learning difficulties
• Disarray
• Special language disorder
• Hipoperative seizures
• Hearing loss and deafness
• Sensory problems

• Vision problems

as well as the correction of speech disorders in adults by:

• Laryngectomy
• Memory disorders
• Breathing disorders
